Some people love holidaying overseas during the colder months to get some sun, others love skiing some of the world’s most incredible slopes, while others chase classic cars across the world – and that’s just what we are here to do!
We have complied a list of the 10 greatest classic car events that any every car enthusiast has to look forward to.
In chronological order lets kick this off with February!
#10 Retromobile, Paris, 8 to 12 February
This is a traditional worlds classic car season opener! Retromobile was established in 1976 in Paris, France. These days, there are over 500 vehicles on show, 500 exhibitors, 120 clubs, and 45 artists.
#9 Goodwood 75th Member’s Meeting, 18 to 19 March
This unmissable event is an epic weekend of motor racing! A full programme of racing, the Members’ Meeting features an array of cars from classic tin-tops and GTs, to motorcycles and open wheeled Formula 3 and F1 machines.
#8 Tour Auto Optic 2000, 24 to 30 April
Once again in Paris, France, this rare opportunity to witness some of motorsport history’s most legendary cars out ‘in the wild’ on a weeklong rally from Paris to Biarritz.
#7 Mille Miglia, Italy, 18 to 21 May
On many people’s bucket list, this is an event that has been running for a solid three decades. Mille Miglia has been bringing together exceptional personalities to the world of sport.
#6 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, 26 to 28 May
Hosted at the grounds of Grand Hotel Villa d’Este, the world’s most iconic Hotel on Lake Como. This event offers guests and visitors the opportunity to admire approximately 50 cars produced between the 1920s and 1980s.
#5 Classic Days Schloss Dyk, Germany, 4 to 6 April
Escape reality for a whole weekend at the moated castle, which is set a great automotive festival, causing stir overseas! Go back to the ‘Classic Days’, and escape the real world!
#4 The AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix, 11 to 13 August
With an audience of more than 60,000 and an outstanding starting field, the AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix is one of the biggest and most popular vintage car racing events in the world! This year will be its 45th anniversary so it’s sure to be a good one.
#3 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, 20 August
The most prized collector cars in the world come together in the best “finishing hole” the famed 18th fairway of Pebble Beach Gold Links. Tire meets turf! This is one of the most competitive events in the automotive world!
#2 Concours of Elegance, 1 to 3 September
This event has been around for six years now, and its proven to be a British affair held at the Hampton Court Palace. The classic automobiles set to be on display at the palace’s regal gardens will be suitably grand.
#1 Goodwood Revival, 8 to 10 September
If there were any classic automotive event I would die to go to it would have to be this! Simply an event like no other, and it is the ultimate way to round out the automotive events season. Enthusiasts around the world travel to this amazing classic celebration in West Sussex to revel in Lord March’s perfect period of production and racing!
