It’s time to invest in the Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1! Here’s why…
In 1953 Chevrolet produced the first generation to what we know today as the Chevrolet Corvette sports car, often referred to as the “solid-axle” generation.
Chevrolet saw four generations of Corvettes and its time to focus some attention on the fourth generation Corvette ZR-1 as a potential investment.
After 20 odd years of very little acknowledgement, this beauty has resurfaced to our attention and I tell you what – they are cool again!
The 1990-1995 Corvette ZR-1 introduced an option package, which essentially doubled the price of a standard Corvette Coupe and transformed the Corvette into a high-performance sports car.
Today, it remains the fastest of all Corvettes and yet its still one of the most affordable. The status of these cars stands as a future collectable and it’s totally worth every penny.
What is it about the Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 that appeals to us? Well Dave McLellan, Corvette Chief Engineer since 1975 wouldn’t call the car ‘exotic’, because that would mean its outrageously styled, astronomically expensive, highly temperamental, limited-production automobile.
However they are one of the fastest sports cars in the world and they’re also blessed with superior handling and braking.
It’s advanced in technology and the least expensive car in production because it’s a Corvette.
According to Hagerty’s Valuation Tool, prices have bottomed about five years ago and have been creeping up ever since.
So now is the time to buy a Corvette ZR-1 whilst they’re still affordable with prices expecting to hike in years to come.
