We’ve already visited the topic of BMW 507, but lets revisit it this time lets pay attention to Elvis Presley’s BMW 507 – which in fact, was found in a pumpkin factory in Alabama!
Nope, we aren’t kidding, Elvis’s old BMW was hidden away in a pumpkin factory and when found, BMW had all intentions of restoring it to factory-fresh condition.
The King, Elvis, drove the BMW in 1958, the year he purchased the car. Eventually, the car was traded to a Chrysler dealer in New York, then with years to come it ended up at the pumpkin factory, stored there by owner, Jack Castor, who’s a car collector and enthusiast.
In 2006, a journalist helped uncover the history of the BMW Castor had held on to and revealed The King, Elvis Presley, once owned this amazing machine.
Of course the news caught the attention of car manufacturer, BMW, Castor invited the car company to check the cars serial number and it was confirmed that it was indeed the same vehicle Presley has once owned.
In 2014, the car was shipped to Germany to be fully restored with a combination of new and old parts. The finished product was a beautiful and freshly restored BMW just as it would have been in its original condition.
The car made a pubic debut this year at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elgance on August 21, 2016.
