Leading technology company, Everrati, and global sports car manufacturer, Superformance, have strategically partnered up to create an all new, all electric vehicle, like no other. With Everatti’s specialisation in redefining and future proofing automotive icons and Superformance’s excellence in manufacturing 1960s-era continuation sports cars, together the praiseworthy partnership is creating an electrified version of the legendary Ford GT40.
The Electric GT40:
The almighty partnership between Everrati and Superformance will allow enthusiasts to drive an electric-powered GT40, with development of this first model already underway. An incredible prototype chassis of the model has already been built and is being comprehensively adapted from ICE power, to advanced electric propulsion. The construction process of the all electric GT40 model is taking place at Everrati’s UK development centre in Upper Heyford, a former US air base in the English Cotswolds.
Like all Everrati vehicles, meticulous attention to detail is being applied to the key factors of the vehicle, such as battery location and weight distribution, to maintain and enhance the character and soul of the original GT40 model. Further details on the first ever electric GT40 model from the partnership and reimagined icon are to be announced within the next coming months.
About Everrati:
Everrati was originally founded to further the legacies of some of the most desirable and iconic cars in the world. The company specialises in redefining and re-engineering vehicles with state-of-the-art electric drivetrains, maintenance and by enhancing original character. Each Everrati vehicle is fitted with a custom designed electric power unit and battery system, to enhanced their performance and a zero emissions future.
So many legendary cars were created by Anglo American partnerships during the 1960s. In fact, the very first GT40 was brought to life in the early Sixties by a UK-based team led by expat British engineer, Roy Lunn, at Ford Advanced Vehicles in Slough. Its body was even made by Abbey Panels in Coventry, before the finished car was shipped to the US for its unveiling the day before the New York Auto Show, in April 1964.
About Superformance:
Superformance offers a entire line of high performance component cars that celebrate some of the world’s most iconic vehicles of all time. All of their vehicles are built under license from original trademark holders including; GM and SAFIR GT40. This adds to each of the vehicles accurate information, details, authenticity and value. Sold as a rolling chassis, a Superformance car can be configured with either heritage or modern drivetrains.
“Justin and the team at Everrati have a compelling vision for the future, along with the engineering pedigree and expertise to reimagine this automotive icon for the 21st century. While I’ll always love a V8-powered vehicle, there is no doubting the ultra-high performance of Everrati’s advanced EV powertrains. Electrification is the future in so many ways and adds another option for those who love classic sports cars.”
Lance Stander, Superformance CEO
