Say hello to this Australian large and luxurious saloon automobile, the Holden Brougham!

Manufactured by none other than Holden in Australia between July 1968 and 1971.

The Holden Brougham was based on the Holden Premier, but differed with a lengthened rear body.

The Brougham’s boot was extended by 8 inches and it also replicated the Premier’s four-headlight grille.

In 1968 the HK Brougham series was launched along with the new Monaro coupes, only six months after the mainstream Holden’s were launched which included the Holden Belmont/Kingswood/Premier models.

Due to the Brougham being categorised as a ‘luxury’ car, it was only available with an automatic transmission, which at first was a two-speed, then later after the HG’s launch, a three-speed.
