What you need to know about classic car insurance!
Following on from yesterday’s post, for the purpose of my own curiosity, I did a bit of research into classic car insurance, and found there are specifically tailored vehicle insurance policies for your pride and joy.
Many insurance companies around the world will have a ‘veteran, vintage, and classic vehicle insurance’ that allows you to chose what’s covered.
Some classic car insurance coverage varies depending on what it is you are insuring exactly.
To elaborate, Australian insurance company, Ryno Insurance goes that extra mile and categorises your beloved vehicle. These categories include; vintage, classic, prestige, and imports.
It seems pretty straight forward but just to be clear I’ll explain exactly what each of the categories are it’s then up to you to figure which criteria fits your vehicle best.
Ryno insurance considers vintage vehicle’s automobiles made between 1919 and 1930. A comprehensive list includes models such as Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge and much more.
Classic car insurance tailors its cover for classic cars that are over 25 years old and older.
Prestige car insurance includes all cars less than 25 years old with a number of models such a Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and HSV.
As for imports, this cover is suitable specifically for imported American vehicles.
Comprehensive lists of car makes and models are included for all of the above categories so you know what you are entitled to.
