Lambo lovers of the world this ones for you, say hello to the Lamborghini Countach 5000S!
An Italian made mid-engined V12 sports car produced but none-other than car manufacturer, Lamborghini, during 1974 to 1990.
It was the sports car that revolutionised and popularised the wedge-shaped, angular looking design found in many high-performing sports cars.
Not only was the Lamborghini Countach a heavy influencer to sports car design but also the “cab forward” design concept.
This new cab design pushed the passenger compartment forward to accommodate space for a larger engine.
Back in 2004, popular American Magazine, Sports Car International, scored the Lamborghini Countach a bronze medal by listing the sports car third on the list of Top Sports Cars of the 1970’s.
The Lamborghini Countach prototype model was presented to the public at the Geneva Motor Show in 1971.
Its name interestingly enough means “heavens” and we can see why! This car is something from the skies above! It’s an absolute masterpiece.
After an astonishing 25 years, it was time to celebrate with another Countach. This was known as the 25th Anniversary Countach and was named to honour the company’s (Lamborghini) twenty-fifth anniversary.
Styling changes were noticeably made and seemed to be quite unpopular compared to the original.
