Since the 20s, Ford has always been right up there with big competitors in making history with its development of amazing cars.

Ford has produced so many cars over decades, and lets look at its movements in the earlier years!

The Model A was first introduced in 1927 amongst several other competitors who also offered four cylinder cars.

Competitors like Chevrolet, Dodge, Durant and Willys all had much the same to offer as Ford with the Model A.

That was up until a few years when it all changed with Ford’s Plymouth becoming the company’s sole major make.

Ford developed a series of three cars between 1932 and 1934, these were known as the Model B, Model 18, and Model 40.

The new series of Fords during this time flourished from the Model A, the previous model.

With a much-upgraded version of the Model A Ford launched a completely new model know as the Model B in 1932.

Model Bs and Model 18s came in Standard and Deluxe trim, which were available in various body styles.

The list is huge with; two-door roadsters, two-door cabriolet, four-door phaeton, two-door and four-door sedans, four-door woodie station wagon, two-door convertible sedan, panel and sedan deliveries, five-window coupe, sport coupe, three-door Deluxe coupe, and pickup – Deep breath!

After a year of production, the Model B was discontinued because buyers liked the four-cylinder models in general as well as the V8 being a huge success.

Today, a 1932 Model B is a highly collectable car. People will pay thousands of dollars to own one of these beauties.
