The Mercedes-Benz 230 SV Sport’s engine is naturally aspirated petrol, 2.3 litres, and side valve 6 cylinders with 2 valves per cylinder.
The cylinder bore was increased by one millimetre, which gave rise to an average increase in engine size to 2289cc.
